This creation is inspired by the play “That Time” by Samuel Beckett, in which the single character stages three aspects of his own mind. The three voices seem to express a life of isolation and self-induced retrospection. This musical piece, like the play, consists of three sections, each expressing a different angle of approach to the concept of rotation and transformation. The elements of fragmented repetitions, which try to bring us back to memories, and the piece’s insistence on developing over time, are the main conceptual goals of my exploration in this work. Finally, the title of my piece - Gone in no time -
derives from the last part of Samuel Beckett's play: "not a sound except the old breaths and the turned pages when suddenly this dust the whole place full of dust by reopening the eyes from the floor to the ceiling nothing but dust and not a sound otherwise what did she tell you come gone is- what was that something like that came left came gone nobody came nobody left barely came gone barely came gone»

Algal Bloom is an audiovisual work in which the spectrum and the shades of light and sound in the underwater environment were our main goal. The music is generated from pre-recorded material and field recordings. Hand drawn stop-motion images are layered with the computer. The image and sound together are two voices that become more and more independent of each other, creating a new, contrapuntal layer. Their amalgamation at the point where none of the elements are any more recognizable, detaches them from their initial function. Artistically we aim to organically present a unity into multiplicity. In this way, Algal Bloom gives an impression of the dynamics in today's life.
